4x4 tyre services

To drive a 4x4 off-road and get the maximum performance it is not only necessary to have good driving skills but also to choose the right tyres for your vehicle.

At ATS Euromaster, we recommend that the tyres are replaced in identical sets of four, or follow manufacturers’ recommendations if different.

• Please check your tyres and your spare wheel before you take to the roads.
• Tyre pressures should not be less than 1.2 bars or 17.4 psi.
• Don’t forget to carry a pair of leather gloves, ropes and a shovel.

• Narrow and high tyres are the most suitable for these kinds of driving conditions because they offer the best contact to the ground.
• Reduce tyre pressure in order to improve the contact with the ground, which means you increase the flexibility and reduce the risk of ripping the tyres.

• In these conditions it is recommended to use wide tyres.
• A lower pressure increases the surface of contact and improves the traction.

• Reduce tyre pressure to improve their tread clearing ability.
• Clean the wheel location spaces to allow tyres to clean themselves up once again.

• Keep a normal tyre pressure, remain at a low speed and keep a constant speed to avoid waves and sprays.

• Tyres will keep a normal road holding even on roads with a fine layer of snow.
• If the snow layer is too thick, it is recommended to maintain your speed and not allow the vehicle to slide back, in such a way that your vehicle stays moving without losing the road holding.
